6/27/12
- Weather: Sunny 70 degrees AM, 90 degrees PM, SW wind 20-25mph
- Water: Clear to Stained (no temp taken)
- Depth Fish Were Caught: 3-5 feet
- Most Productive Lure: Bagley KBII, chartreuse black back
- Pattern: Fishing in the current on the main river and mouths of creeks. The bass are really starting to begin to show some post spawn behavior and this will continue as we move into July.
- Results: Largest bass caught 2.5#, 9 bass caught
Other very productive techniques include the spinnerbait patterns. I like the Death Shimmer spinnerbaits on this river. The additional vibration this spinnerbait offers really makes a difference in the heavy current. As the heat presses on this will continue to push the bass into predictable post spawn locations and the July will bring some great main river tidal bass action.
